Set your thermostat to a temperature 10 degrees warmer than the room's current temperature to turn on your heating.

Listen for the system to turn on. You may hear a rumbling sound or fans turning on as they begin to blow air through the vents.

Check the vent to feel for airflow, making sure the air coming out feels warm. If it’s only blowing cool air, then something is wrong with your heating.
